LETTERS WRITTEN BY PUPILS
IN SUPPORT OF THEATRE ROYAL HYDE
Recently Muriel and Pat attended Oakfield Primary School to give the pupils of year 5 a talk and film show of the Theatre Royal Hyde and the teacher then took them to look at the Theatre and various other places of interest in Hyde.
Following these events the children were asked by the teacher to write letters of support for the Theatre and these have been forwarded to us. We have received almost 30 letters from the class and each month we are going to place four of these letters onto our website. Taking into account the age of these pupils is only between 9 and 10 years they are very mature and their interest I n the theatre very genuine. We hope you will take the time to read and enjoy these letters and perhaps you could let us have your comments on our Guest Book page so they can be passed over to the children. It will be very encouraging for them to know people have an interest in what they think.
We are trying to get permission from the owners of The Mall in Hyde to allow a section of the letters to be placed in one of the empty shop windows and if this is possible we will let Miss Nicole Hodgson, the teacher, know.
The more young people we can get involved with the Group the better it will be as they will be the future of the theatre.
