Sir George Kenyon
Sir George's family business of rope makers, now an international company, is perhaps best known for supplying the specialist ropes for the successful ascent of Everest in 1953.

Lord Pendry
Tom Pendry was MP for Hyde and Stalybridge for over thirty years, always showing a great interest in working for the community. He was elevated to the peerage for his services and took his seat in the House of Lords in 2001

Meg Johnson
Meg is a well known and respected actress of television and stage. Prior to turning professional she is perhaps best known for the role of Maria in the Sound of Music at the Theatre Royal Hyde.

Mr Brian Nichols Medical Electronics Engineer-lighting, sound and backstage experience.

Mrs Patricia Jackson Secretary and Membership Secretary,

Mr Bob Howarth; played a large part in the saving and re-opening of the Plaza Stockport. He runs a successful business providing props of all kinds for the stage.

John Gray
John previously worked as a professional technical stage manager and is technical advisor to Stockport Operatic Society and the Christie Theatre Company. He is committed to making professional and amateur live theatre more available to people.

Muriel Nichols
A Market Research interviewer with NOP. She has served on voluntary committees as diverse as conservation and heritage, youthwork and horses. She helps with researching funding, contact with national bodies and organisations and surveys

Patricia Jackson
Pat is on the Committee of Hyde Musical Society and wardrobe mistress-a dedicated supporter of theatre and theatre restoration. Pat helps with research and promotion through contact with other theatres.

Friends Secretary

George Hemsley
George is a retired retail display manager. He is a long-serving member of Hyde Musical Society and Hyde Little Theatre, frequently to be seen front of house. He has an in-depth knowledge of theatre and restoration, particularly the Plaza, Stockport

Fundraising
Christine Hamer
Christine is a retired nurse/lecturer and member of Hyde Little Theatre and New Mills Operatic Society. She has appeared on stage with many other societies and has a wide knowledge of theatre.

Beryl Gresty
Beryl is an experienced dancer and choreographer and also backstage and technical advisor to Hyde Musical Society, Stockport Operatic Society and Christies Theatre Company among others.

Marilyn Knott

Marilyn is a hairdresser and member of a local art group, who helps with our fundraising and publicity and promotion.

Jenny Knowles

Jenny helps with fundraising and promotion including the organising of our annual discos.

Steve
Steve is Security Consultant and takes care of the Theatre web site.

He also runs the website for the 1970's comedy "On the Buses" in his spare time.

Linda Mercer
Linda is a libraries information officer, helping with promotions and funding.

Mike Kemp
Mike has worked as a Cinema Operator at the Davenport Theatre Stockport, Tatton Cinema Gatley, Savoy Cinema, Heaton Moor and the Ritz Theatre Stockport. He is qualified in Business Administration. Mike helped in all aspects of the voluntary work which saved the Plaza, Stockport

Chris Granger
Chris helps with fundraising, especially our twice yearly market stalls.
